My name is Jim Maxwell, I am the owner of Jmax Salon. My career began as a hairstylist 39 years ago in my hometown of Albany, New York. Through the years I have worked in every aspect of the beauty industry. Starting behind the chair, progressing to salon manager and traveling as an assistant with Paul Mitchell and Gary Gerard. The last 25 years I worked as a senior director overseeing salons in 5 different states.

Jmax Salon is a DREAM come true for me. My passion & love for people drives me to continue in this industry. Years of experience with both stylists and customers gives me a great advantage as a business owner. I am excited to work with this talented team of hair stylists

After moving to this community 6 years ago I fell in love with it! I am thankful The Mall at Johnson City gave me the opportunity to open Jmax Salon. I look forward to being involved with the community and serving their needs!

Hi, I'm Annmarie. I began my career in the beauty industry 37 years ago in Boston. I am frequently asked what I like most about my job. I give a different answer every time. I am fortunate to work in an industry that encourages creativity and thinking outside of the box.

I think the most important part of my job is to listen to my client and help them find the style that's perfect for them. Whether it's fun and funky or more of a polished professional look.

Hello! My name is Margaret. I started as a hair stylist 60 years ago because I felt like it “was the thing to do.” I have never regretted a minute of it after all these years. During my career I also worked as an Educator for Matrix color. I love to make people happy and feel good about themselves. My Guests are like family to me.

I specialize in permanent waves, hair color, shampoo style and blow outs.

Hi, I’m Robyn. 32 years ago I chose the hair industry as my career. I knew it would be a fun and rewarding job. I’ve not been disappointed yet! There is nothing more rewarding than making people look pretty and feel better about themselves! My guests are more like friends!

My specialties include short haircuts, kid’s cuts, color and formal hair styling.

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I have been in the hair industry for 16 years. I also have been an instructor for cosmetology for 14 years.

I chose the industry because I love helping my clients with their hair needs and educating them in the importance of hair care.

My specialties includes, all aspects of cutting, color placements, formal styles and product education for my clients.

Specializing in highlights/lowlights, fantasy colors, blonding services, biolage and formal hair styling.
